Sara Švagelj
writer, producer, director of photography, co-founder of ReBel Film
Born in Monfalcone, she studied at the University of Trieste, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, specialising in cinema, before going on to specialise in Art History. She obtained a first-level Master’s degree in Audiovisual Production and Distribution at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, before specialising in cinematography at the Nativa audiovisual arts training centre in Milan. Since 2017, she has worked as a camera operator on television programmes for various video production companies and as a director of photography on feature-length documentaries. She continued her training in cinematography with a workshop at the London Film School. In 2022, together with Ettore Spezza, she founded ReBel Film, furthering her training as a producer at the Civica Luchino Visconti in Milan and at the International Screen Institute in Vienna. She is the writer, producer and director of photography for ReBel Film productions distributed by RAI FVG and Rai Cultura.
