Martina Del Giorno is a high-power laser technician at the Frascati National Laboratories of the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN). Since 2020, she has been working in the Accelerator Division of the Frascati National Laboratories, collaborating with the SPARC_LAB research group. She is responsible for the operation and optimization of high-power laser systems for plasma acceleration experiments within the SPARC and FLAME facilities, contributing to the European projects EuPRAXIA, included in the ESFRI Roadmap, and PACRI (Plasma Accelerator systems for Compact Research Infrastructures). The latter promotes the development of innovative research infrastructures with applications across a wide range of fields, from materials science and structural biology to medical imaging. Passionate about science communication, she enjoys explaining how physics and the technologies developed in major research laboratories can drive innovation and help address the challenges of contemporary society.
