Loredana Casalis is an experimental biophysicist and head of the NanoInnovation Lab at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. Her research, based on the integration of nanotechnologies with advanced microscopy and spectroscopy techniques, aims to understand the role of the biophysical properties of cellular membranes in regulating fundamental biological processes such as receptor organization and the cellular internalization of nanoparticles, nanovesicles, and drugs. Her work has applications in the development of innovative strategies for translational nanomedicine in oncology and drug delivery.
