Andrea Spillatura

Andrea Spillatura is a Structural Engineer who has been part of Risk Engineering + Development (RED, Pavia) since the beginning of 2018. He is currently Project Manager on product development for the banking sector, focusing on natural perils and climate change impacts. He completed his PhD in “Understanding and Managing Extremes” at IUSS Pavia in 2017, with research centered on seismic risk, Performance Based Earthquake Engineering (PBEE), ground motion selection, and fragility and vulnerability assessment of structures. He also contributed to an Italian Civil Protection-funded project on (Implicit) Risk Assessment of code-compliant buildings. He holds an MSc in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology from IUSS (2014), a BSc in Civil Engineering (2008) and an MSc in Structural Engineering (2011), both from the University of Perugia.
