Hervé Aussel è un astrofisico che studia l’evoluzione delle galassie attraverso rilievi ottici e infrarossi su vasta area. Dopo la laurea a Parigi, è stato borsista post-dottorato all’Osservatorio di Padova, poi all’Università delle Hawaii. Attualmente è ricercatore del CNRS, con sede a Saclay, nei sobborghi di Parigi. Ha lavorato sui dati raccolti dalle missioni spaziali ISO, Spitzer e Herschel, ed è ora Science Ground Segment Scientist della missione Euclid.

Hervé Aussel is an astrophysicist studying the evolution of galaxies through large area optical and infrared surveys. After graduating in Paris, he was post-doctoral fellow in Padova Observatory, then at the University of Hawaii. He his now CNRS researcher, based in Saclay, in the suburbs of Paris. He worked on data gathered by the space missions ISO, Spitzer and Herschel, and he is now the Science Ground Segment Scientist of the Euclid Mission.
