EUCLID: THE DARK UNIVERSE

Euclid esplorerà come l’Universo si è espanso e come si è formata la sua struttura nel corso dell’evoluzione, fornirà indizi sul ruolo della gravità e sulla natura dell’energia e della materia oscura. Osserverà più di un terzo del cielo e creerà una incredibile mappa della struttura su larga scala dell’Universo. Euclid è stato lanciato nel luglio 2023, ha appena iniziato a guardare il cielo, discuteremo, con scienziati e scienziate chiave che sono pienamente coinvolti in un progetto così incredibile, delle operazioni e affronteremo quali e quando dovremmo aspettarci i primi risultati.

ESA’s Euclid mission will explore how the Universe has expanded and how structure has formed over cosmic history, revealing more about the role of gravity and the nature of dark energy and dark matter. It will create a great map of the large-scale structure of the Universe observing billions of galaxies across more than a third of the sky. Euclid was launched on July 2023, it just started looking at the sky, we will discuss operations and address what and when we should expect first results with key people that are full involved in such fantastic project.
