Eric Medvet è docente di Ingegneria informatica presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Architettura dell’Università degli Studi di Trieste, nonché fondatore e responsabile del laboratorio di Robotica Evolutiva e Vita Artificiale e co-fondatore del Machine Learning Lab. Le sue attività di ricerca includono il calcolo evolutivo, la vita artificiale e l’applicazione di tecniche di apprendimento automatico a problemi di ingegneria e sicurezza informatica. È autore di oltre 150 articoli peer-reviewed su riviste o conferenze internazionali, con più di 60 coautori. Ha ricevuto il Google Faculty Research Award 2020.

Eric Medvet is professor in Computer engineering at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of University of Trieste. He is also founder and head of the Evolutionary Robotics and Artificial Life lab and co-founder of the Machine Learning Lab. His research activities include evolutionary computation, artificial life, and the application of machine learning techniques to engineering and computer security problems. He authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles on international journals or conferences, with more than 60 coauthors. He was a recipient of the Google Faculty Research Award 2020.
