Tomasz Pietrzykowski

professor of Law University of Silesia

Tomasz Pietrzykowski is professor of Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia in Katowice. His work focuses on legal theory, philosophy of law, bioethics and public policy. He is the author of numerous books and articles on legal personhood, animal rights, ethics in public administration, and the relationship between law, science and society. He has held a number of senior academic and institutional positions, including Vice-Rector for International and Domestic Cooperation at the University of Silesia and Head of the Research Center for Public Policy and Regulatory Governance. He combines theoretical legal scholarship, university teaching, public engagement and expert work on regulation, ethics and governance.
