Manuela Mastronardi

Dr. Manuela Mastronardi is an Assistant Professor of General Surgery (tenure track) at the University of Trieste, where she also practices as a general surgeon at the Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority. She has gained international experience through collaborations with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, USA), Maastricht University Medical Center (Maastricht, the Netherlands), Sahlgrenska University Hospital (Göteborg, Sweden), and Leuven University Hospital (Leuven, Belgium), supported by prestigious international grants. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence applied to surgery and on sustainability in surgery. She is a member of the Young Task Force and the Sustainability Task Force of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), Core Secretary of the Education Committee of the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES), and a member of the Education Committee of the Collaborative Alliance for Research and Education in Surgery (CARES).
