Giovanna Badalassi

Giovanna Badalassi is an expert in statistical analysis and public policy evaluation, with a background in economics and extensive experience in gender budgeting and gender mainstreaming. Since 2003, she has been one of the pioneers of gender budgeting in Italy, having led over forty projects for local councils, provincial authorities, regions and public research bodies, developing methodologies and tools to measure the impact of public policies and support data-driven decision-making. For over twenty years, she has worked with public administrations, universities and national and international organisations, and has recently collaborated with the Ministry of Economy and Finance as part of a European Commission project aimed at strengthening national gender budgeting. She has also provided technical assistance and training to national and European institutions, including the European Commission and the European University Institute.
