Giorgio Patelli
medical oncologist and AIRC researcher IFOM – AIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology
Giorgio Patelli is a medical oncologist and PhD student at the AIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM ETS), the Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda and the University of Milan. His research focuses on precision medicine and liquid biopsy for solid tumours, contributing to international studies aimed at personalising therapies and reducing treatment toxicity, particularly in cancers of the colon and rectum. As part of a multidisciplinary group led by Salvatore Siena and Alberto Bardelli, he is interested in the relationship between the exposome — the set of environmental factors such as diet, pollution and lifestyle — and cancer risk, especially at a young age, with the aim of developing preventive and predictive strategies to improve public health.
