Clelia Cascella

Clelia Cascella is a Senior Researcher at the Italian National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education and Training System (INVALSI). She holds a PhD in Social Science Methodology and a PhD in Economics. She has also obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification for the position of Associate Professor in the fields of Mathematics Education and Social Research Methodology. She has conducted research in Italy and abroad, particularly at the University of Manchester, where she served as a Marie Curie Research Fellow and, for the following two years, as a Lecturer in Social Statistics. Her main research interests include latent variable measurement, Item Response Theory (IRT) models, the measurement of inequalities and socio-educational phenomena, with a particular focus on analysing the impact of socioeconomic and gender-related factors on educational outcomes.
