Anna Ludovica Fracanzani

professor of Internal medicine University of Milan

Full Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Milan and Head of the Metabolic Medicine Unit. She is involved in phase II and III clinical trials of new drugs for the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). As principal investigator, she has also been awarded several grants from the Italian Ministry of Health for research projects on patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). She is the author of 279 original articles in international peer-reviewed journals. SCOPUS: H-index 76, 20,033 non-self citations; Web of Science: H-index 67, 16,111 non-self citations. She also serves as reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of numerous scientific societies, including AISF (Italian Association for the Study of the Liver), SIMI (Italian Society of Internal Medicine), EASL (European Association for the Study of the Liver) and AASLD (American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases).
