Silvano Zipoli Caiani

Silvano Zipoli Caiani was born in Florence in 1978. After earning his degree in Philosophy in 2005, he completed a PhD in Science and Society in 2010, developing a research trajectory at the intersection of philosophy and cognitive science. From 2010 to 2015, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Milan, where he worked on topics related to cognition, action, and mental representation. He subsequently served as a researcher at the University of Florence until 2018. His current research focuses on the relationships between artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and society, with particular attention to the interpretability, transparency, and trustworthiness of AI systems. He teaches Philosophy of Mind and Science and Technology Communication at the University of Florence and is the author of numerous national and international publications.
