Mirella Manfredi

Mirella Manfredi is a professor at the University of Zurich, where she directs the Neurodiversity and Cognition Lab in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Her research investigates the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying humor and social cognition in neurotypical and neurodivergent populations. Using neuroscientific and behavioral methodologies, she studies in particular how people understand and appreciate humor, with a specific focus on autism and neurodiversity.
