Gianluigi Rozza

After earning a degree in Aerospace Engineering and a PhD in Numerical Analysis and Computational Engineering, Gianluigi Rozza worked as a researcher first at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston and then at EPFL in Lausanne. After returning to Italy, in 2012 he joined SISSA mathLab, SISSA’s research group devoted to applied mathematics and scientific computing, which he now coordinates. Since 2018, he has been Full Professor of Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing at SISSA. He is included in the Top Italian Scientists list in the Mathematics category and, since 2025, has served as President of SIMAI, the Italian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics.
