Alessio Ansuini

theoretical physicist, research technologist Area Science Park

He is a theoretical physicist with interdisciplinary expertise spanning physics, biology, and computation. Between 2011 and 2019, he worked at SISSA, collaborating across the fields of neurobiology, cognitive neuroscience, physics, and machine learning. Since joining Area Science Park in 2019, he has contributed to shaping its research directions, advancing the study of neural representations in deep learning models and exploring the intersections between physics, biology, and artificial intelligence. He teaches Deep Learning at the University of Trieste and is actively involved in science outreach and public engagement.
