Alois Bonifacio is an Associate Professor of Foundations of Chemical Technologies at the University of Trieste. In addition to general chemistry, he teaches a course for engineering students on critical and strategic raw materials, addressing the crucial role of raw materials in the energy transition, including their technological, geopolitical, and sustainability implications. He served as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Observatory on Critical Raw Materials for Energy (OIMCE) of the World Energy Council Italy and has been lecturing for several years at the “Giacomo Ciamician” Summer School on Energy.
