Through fluorescence microscopy, it will be possible to observe structures that are normally invisible with traditional optical microscopes, such as tissues and subcellular components. We will explore the potential of fluorescent proteins, illustrating the revolutionary role they have played in scientific and biomedical research; we will also observe fluorescent bacteria, a concrete example of the applications of these technologies. On Saturday afternoon, we will offer the opportunity to take a virtual 3D journey inside the human cell.
