THE DAWN OF THE UNIVERSE. IN SEARCH OF THE BIRTH OF MATTER

The conference offers a journey through the history of the Universe, from the Big Bang to the formation of chemical elements. Central is the role of technology in research: from LHC experiments (ALICE, ATLAS, CMS, LHCb) on quark-gluon plasma and the Higgs boson, to COMPASS and AMBER, probing particle structure, and n_TOF, exploring nucleosynthesis. A reflection on the technical and conceptual challenges of studying the infinitely small to understand the infinitely large.
