RE-LIVING OUTSIDE TO CHANGE INSIDE: PATHWAYS TO COMMUNITY JUSTICE

More than 62,000 people in Italy have committed a crime and ended up “inside.” To return “outside,” time must pass—and it must be used to bring about change “within.” This means embarking on a path that restores one’s dignity as a citizen, that fosters accountability toward victims, and that facilitates a return to relationships, employment, and social life. Professionals and researchers are coming together to share stories, explore new projects, and reflect on how justice can really work—for people and communities.
