Abstract
The Antarctic Museum of Trieste, in collaboration with the Department of Maths, Informatics and Geosciences (University of Trieste) is organizing a talk on the role of glaciers as living archives of our planet’s climatic and environmental history. The event will highlight the intersection between scientific research and mountaineering, emphasizing how both contribute to the understanding and preservation of these fragile ecosystems. The impact of human activities will be discussed, along with a presentation of the Ice Memory project, which aims to preserve ice cores for future generations.
