Abstract
By the end of 2025, Italy will finalise the development of its national cloud-based supercomputing infrastructure, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The ICSC – National Research Centre in High Performance Computing, Big Data and Quantum Computing – and the TeRABIT project (Terabit Network for Research and Academic Big Data in Italy) are leading this initiative. Together with scientific and technological experts, we will analyse the potential of supercomputing with regard to the development and introduction of cutting-edge technologies such as quantum computing.
