Abstract
An event to give voice to scientific data that clearly shows the urgency of addressing environmental issues. The latest reports from the European Commission, the European Environment Agency and the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) will be presented and discussed, with a focus on climate change and marine plastic pollution. Particular attention will be paid to the impact on society, the economy and the environment, as well as the adaptive and mitigating solutions that are possible through the sharing of reliable data and new technologies.
