Abstract
In the debate on energy transition, nuclear fusion emerges as a key technology for a low-emission future. Clean, safe and virtually inexhaustible, it can revolutionise the energy system and contribute to climate goals. The meeting will offer a discussion on the prospects for integrating fusion into the energy mix of the future, exploring the state of research in Europe, the European fusion roadmap and the role of the Italian DTT project. There will also be a focus on the industrial impact in Italy and the contribution of companies in Friuli Venezia Giulia to the ITER project.
