SPACE 8. PUBLIC AND SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT AS A UNIVERSITY MISSION

Universities are not only concerned with teaching and research but also with the broad range of experiences, collaborations, knowledge, and relationships that characterize their Public and Social Engagement activities—the Third Mission. The University of Trieste, which recently ranked fifth among all public universities for this type of activity (VQR 2020–2024), supports faculty and researchers in planning and organizing Public and Social Engagement initiatives and carries out projects of interest to the community in collaboration with associations, institutions, and other public and private entities.
