SPACE 3. APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES AND HANDLING OF CHRONIC PAIN

Chronic pain, through its different mechanism of activation, deeply compromises the life of millions of people. In the course of “altered pain perception”, such as occurring in Fibromyalgia patients, pharmacological treatments fail to adequately reduce symptoms. Therefore, new therapeutic interventions are needed to help these patients. Innovative applied technologies such as neuromodulation, IV reality, AI, and telemedicine, could all be helpful, under a combined treatment context. We’ll discover how to combine these new technologies to improve the overall well-being of patients.
