Ricercatrice in Antropologia e Science and Technology Studies applicati alla Ricerca e Innovazione per CyberEthics Lab., specializzata nelle implicazioni sociali dell’innovazione tecnologica e nell’etica dell’intelligenza artificiale. PhD in Antropologia Socio-Culturale, vanta una formazione interdisciplinare in Giurisprudenza, Scienze Sociali, Management e Big Data Analytics. Con vent’anni di esperienza tra ricerca accademica e cooperazione internazionale, ha collaborato con ONG, organizzazioni internazionali e istituzioni governative. È stata visiting researcher presso il Graduate Center della City University of New York (2015-2016). Esperta in etnografia e metodologie qualitative, ha condotto ricerche sul campo in Brasile ed in Europa. Tra le sue pubblicazioni più recenti: ‘The ETHAI Methodology: A Context-Sensitive, Actionable Approach to Ethics of AI in Healthcare’ (2025) e ‘Beyond the Tech: Why Social Acceptance Matters for Smart Cities Cybersecurity’ (2024)ore 15-16.15

Researcher in Anthropology and Science and Technology Studies applied to Research and Innovation at CyberEthics Lab., she specializes in the social implications of technological innovation and the ethics of Artificial Intelligence. PhD in Socio-Cultural Anthropology, Lorena has interdisciplinary training in Law, Social Sciences, Management and Big Data Analytics. With twenty years of experience in academic research and international cooperation, she has collaborated with NGOs, international organizations, government institutions and industry actors. She was a visiting researcher at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 2015-2016. Expert in ethnography and qualitative methodologies, she has conducted field research in Brazil and Europe. Among her most recent publications: 'The ETHAI Methodology: A Context-Sensitive, Actionable Approach to Ethics of AI in Healthcare' (2025) and 'Beyond the Tech: Why Social Acceptance Matters for Smart Cities Cybersecurity' (2024).
