Lavora nel campo delle interazioni tra ioni pesanti ultrarelativistici con l’esperimento ALICE al CERN LHC. Si occupa dello studio del plasma di quark e gluoni e delle modifiche delle proprietà adroniche nella materia nucleare. Per la collaborazione ALICE ha coordinato il gruppo di analisi che studia la produzione di particelle risonanti ed è coinvolto in attività di analisi dati e simulazioni. È membro della commissione scientifica nazionale dell’INFN che coordina l’attività sulla fisica del nucleo.

He works in the field of ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions with the ALICE experiment at the CERN LHC with focus on the study of the quark-gluon plasma and the modification of the hadron properties in nuclear matter. For the ALICE collaboration he has coordinated the analysis group on resonant particles and he is involved in activities of data analysis and simulation. He is member of the national scientific commission of INFN that coordinates the activities on the physics of the nucleus.
