Nato nel 1982, laureato in Ingegneria Elettrotecnica presso l’Università di Padova. Nel 2013 è stato vittima di un incidente stradale che gli ha compromesso l’uso delle gambe. Da allora ha abbracciato lo sport paralimpico diventando nel 2023 Campione Italiano di Handbike e nel 2024 Campione Italiano di Paratriathlon. Nel tempo libero ama sciare d’inverno e fare immersioni d’estate. Ama viaggiare, passione che coltiva fin da giovane. Nel 2022 ha pubblicato, dopo due anni di lavoro, il suo primo romanzo, intitolato “La musica è nella mia testa”. Lavora assieme a un gruppo di giovani affetti da patologie riconducibili allo spettro autistico, chiamati “I Talents”. Tra le loro iniziative c’è quella di creare rampe di mattoncini di Lego riciclati per abbattere le barriere architettoniche delle nostre città, incontrando studenti e studentesse delle scuole. Sono stati invitati al Senato e al Parlamento Europeo a presentare il loro progetto.
Damiano Marini
Born in 1982, I graduated in Electrical Engineering at the University of Padua. In 2013 I was the victim of a accident that compromised the use of my legs. Since then I embraced Paralympic sports, becoming the 2023 Italian Handbike Champion and the 2024 Italian Paratriathlon Champion. In my free time I love skiing in the winter and diving in the summer. In 2022 I published, after two years of work, my first novel entitled "Music is in my head". I work with a group of guys on the autism spectrum, called I Talents. Among our initiatives is that of creating ramps of recycled Lego bricks to break down the architectural barriers of our cities. We do this by meeting students from schools. We were invited to the Senate of the Italian Republic and the European Parliament to present our project. I love to travel, a passion that I have cultivated since I was young and that I now share with my family
