Teresa Scantamburlo ha lavorato presso l’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, l’Università di Bristol (UK) e l’European Centre for Living Technology. A febbraio 2025 è risultata vincitrice della nuova cattedra Generali sull’IA Responsabile e Sostenibile presso l’Università degli Studi di Trieste. La sua ricerca si concentra sull’impatto etico e sociale dell’intelligenza artificiale (IA) e le tecnologie basate sui dati. Ha contribuito al piloting delle linee guida etiche europee per un’IA affidabile ed è stata membro del working group per l’elaborazione del codice di condotta per l’IA a uso generale dell’AI Office della Comunità Europea.

Teresa Scantamburlo has worked at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the University of Bristol (UK), and the European Centre for Living Technology. In February 2025, she was appointed to the new Generali Chair in Responsible and Sustainable AI at the University of Trieste. Her research focuses on the ethical and social impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven technologies. She contributed to the piloting of the European ethical guidelines for Trustworthy AI and was a member of the working group that developed the code of conduct for general-purpose AI at the European Commission’s AI Office.
