È attivo nei dottorati in Space Science and Technology e in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
Stefano Seriani

Stefano Seriani is an Associate Professor at the University of Trieste with a PhD and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a research fellow at DLR’s Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics in 2016 and, since 2017, has conducted research mainly in space robotics, focusing on its integration with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Stefano led the ESA-funded OMG3D project, developing precursor base-building technologies for space settlement, and currently leads REALISE2, focused on robotic assembly of large orbital structures. He also coordinates AI4FOREST, a MUR-funded project combining robotics and Machine Learning for forest conservation. He co-led the team behind RISE, winner of the 2018 Space Exploration Masters, which sent a 3D-printed modular structures experiment to the ISS. He is involved in the national PhD program in Space Science and Technology and UniTS’s PhD program in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
