Abstract
Friends or foes? Should we protect ourselves from the Earth or protect the Earth itself? This dialogue explores the history and science of our planet, both above and below the surface. Earth is an immense natural laboratory of chemistry, physics, and biology, in constant transformation for billions of years. Driven by curiosity, adventure, economic interests, and the need to protect society, our exploration has revealed deep connections between oceans, lands, atmosphere, and life: visible and invisible lands, real and digital landscapes, slow and rapid movements, and microscopic and planetary chemical reactions.
