Abstract
Iconodiagnostics is a discipline that applies medical diagnostics to the study of artworks, allowing geneticists to uncover some of the mysteries behind historical masterpieces. This practice has proven to be a valuable exercise in the study of medical genetics. Drawing a parallel with the art world, we could describe genetics as a "pop" discipline because, despite its complexity, like Pop art, it is potentially accessible to everyone and poised to become an integral part of the diagnostic journey for many patients.
