Gianluigi Rozza è docente di Analisi numerica e Calcolo scientifico alla SISSA di Trieste, Phd in Applied mathematics all’EPFL nel 2005, MSc in Ingegneria aerospaziale al Politecnico di Milano nel 2002, post-doc al MIT. Alla SISSA è coordinatore dell’Area Matematica, docente nel master in High Performance Computing, nella laurea magistrale in Matematica e in Data Science and Scientific Computing. È delegato del direttore per la valorizzazione, l’innovazione, il trasferimento tecnologico e la cooperazione industriale. La sua ricerca si concentra principalmente sullo sviluppo di metodi di ordine ridotto. è stato autore di oltre 150 pubblicazioni scientifiche nonché principal investigator di due progetti del Consiglio Europeo della Ricerca e responsabile di diversi progetti industriali. È membro dell’Applied Mathematics Committee della European Mathematical Society e direttore scientifico di FAST Computing, nonché Presidente dell’advisory board di SMACT e responsabile di Spoke 9 per iNEST.

Gianluigi Rozza is professor in Numerical analysis and Scientific computing at SISSA in Trieste, holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics at EPFL in 2005, a MSc in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2002 and post-doc at MIT. At SISSA he is the coordinator of Mathematics Area, lecturer in the master in High Performance Computing, in the master degree in Mathematics and in Data Science and Scientific Computing. He is the director’s delegate for valorisation, innovation, technology transfer and industrial cooperation. His research is mostly focused in developing reduced order methods. Author of more than 150 scientific publications and principal Investigator of two European Research Council projects, he is also responsible of several industrial projects. He is member of the Applied Mathematics Committee of European Mathematical Society and scientific director of FAST Computing, as well as president of the advisory board of SMACT and responsible of Spoke 9 for iNEST.
