Professore associato e ricercatore senior presso l'Oxford Internet Institute, Università di Oxford, è Defense Science and Technology Fellow presso l'Alan Turing Institute. Il suo lavoro si concentra su etica dell’AI, sicurezza informatica ed etica dell'innovazione digitale. La sua ricerca è stata pubblicata su Nature, Nature Machine Intelligence, Science e Science Robotics. Ha ricevuto numerosi premi, tra cui il 2016 World Technology Award for Ethics. Nel 2018, è stata nominata tra le 50 donne italiane più stimolanti che lavorano nella tecnologia. Dal 2020 è membro dell’ Ethics Advisory Committee del Ministero della Difesa inglese.

Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, she also is Defence Science and Technology Fellow (Dstl) at the Alan Turing Institute. Her work focuses mainly on the ethical analysis of artificial intelligence, cyber conflicts and ethics of digital innovation. Her research has been published in Nature, Nature Machine Intelligence, Science, and Science Robotics In 2018, InspiringFifty named her among the most inspiring 50 Italian women working in technology. She serves as editor-in-chief of Minds & Machines (SpringerNature) and of Philosophical Studies Series. Since 2020, Taddeo serves in the Ethics Advisory Committee to the UK Ministry of Defence.
